Campus Has Reopened

As UST reopens for Spring, there are an abundance of in-person, online and hyflex options available. Masks continue to be recommended, especially in indoor areas. If you aren’t already vaccinated and boosted, take advantage of one of the many free vaccination clinics right here on our campus, and make sure to get tested if you are feeling sick. If you are diagnosed with COVID-19, isolate and reach out to stayhealthy@stthom.edu. Our team of Healthy Celt Trackers will perform contact tracing to help stop the spread in our community. Thank you for all you are doing to help maintain a safe and healthy campus.

  • Not feeling well? Call your doctor: If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice. You may also contact the Nurse Health Line for assistance 24/7 at any time at 713-338-7979. See a list of local clinics.
  • Texas Department of State Health Services has a dedicated call center to answer your COVID-19 related questions or concerns, and is available 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at 1-877-570-9779. 
     
  • Disaster Distress Helpline: 1-800-985-5990 (for anyone experiencing emotional distress related to COVID-19)

Healthy Habits
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Stay home when you are sick
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw it away   
  • Eat healthy
  • Reduce stress
  • Get enough sleep
  • Exercise
  • Don’t share drinking glasses and bottles, eating utensils, toothbrushes, cosmetics or kisses, if you’re already sick
