UST 75th Anniversary Logo

From The President

Dear Celts,

Founded in 1947 by the Basilian Fathers – a distinguished order of Catholic priests devoted to teaching – University of St. Thomas has long served as an institution of academic excellence for generations of young men and women – instilling its students with a liberal arts foundation where minds are expanded and hearts are opened to the world.

From the beginning, our Basilian Fathers knew that UST’s academic mission would be strengthened through a higher conviction, designating the motto, Crescamus in Christo: Let us grow together in Christ. Today, UST is ushering in a new era of renewed academic excellence through innovative Catholic initiatives designed to imbue learners in the magnanimity of human flourishing, preparing them for careers, vocations and purposeful lives. We are a growing community, together living out a shared purpose, where God’s light will shine brighter and bolder on our human family.

Join me in seizing this moment to accompany one another on a mission like no other, where we celebrate the great riches of our Celt family, our traditions of faith and intellect, and our ever promising future as a people of God. Together, let us find strength in sharing, dreaming and resolute action.

The University’s storied history will continue far into the future as we commemorate the 75th anniversary of the University’s founding, through a series of special events, including the 200th anniversary of the Order of St. Basil and the 25th anniversary of the iconic Chapel of St. Basil.

Crescamus in Christo has never been more vibrant.
