The Associate of Applied Science in General Sciences program at the University of St. Thomas is a multi-functional program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to begin or advance their career in STEM-related professions, or to transition into a four-year STEM or nursing program. 

The program is 100% online and may be completed in just over two years (60-hours in 5 semesters).

nursing 500x330Students who wish to continue their education and transfer into UST's Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) may complete the two-year AAS in General Science degree and seamlessly transfer pending requirements below:

Students who wish to continue their education and transfer into UST's baccalaureate degree programs in biology, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, chemistry, or computational biology may complete the two-year AAS in General Science degree and seamlessly transfer pending requirements below:

  • 3.0 overall college GPA based on a 4.0 scale
  • a "C" or better in all AAS biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics courses
  • complete all required labs in the summer prior to starting the baccalaureate program
