Director of Career Services Center
With a background in change management, human capital development, and financial resources, Paula focuses on the design, development and implementation of innovative solutions to help increase student success. Paula’s experience in talent development, workforce planning, and leadership development helps guide students, alumni, and the community through the process of discovering their passion and purpose. Paula is on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations serving children of abuse, human trafficking, and child advocacy.
Assistant Director of Career and Professional Development
Committed to service, compassion, and leadership, while focusing on building strong sustainable relationships with all stakeholders. Jarred is a dedicated leader with a background in Non-Profit Management, set out to help encourage and inspire others to reach their full potential. Growing in areas of ethics, influence, and bringing value to diverse populations in terms of helping everyone achieve their goals.
Assistant Director of Employer Engagement
Known as the “Charisma Coach” James partners with organizations to provide employees and students with professional development, career readiness techniques and personal branding strategies. With years of experience as a speaker and trainer, he has transformed the lives of many individuals. James is the etiquette instructor for the Boy’s Rites of Passage program at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church. He is the Attire Coach for Suits for Sons, Inc., which is a professional development program for college males. James is an advisor for Guide Right, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s mentor program and also the Etiquette Consultant for the fraternity’s Southwestern Province. James has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Houston and is the founder of J. Dorthen Martin, a personal consulting company. He is married and has two children.
Assistant Director
Highly motivated and trusted advisor committed to serving students through professional development, career transition, and leadership building. Adalgiza has worked globally in the Energy and Oil & Gas industries focusing on strategic management. While at UST, Adalgiza serves students across all majors and enjoys working with veterans, international, and pragmatic students.
Career Coordinator
Committed to building programs and processes to improve quality of life for those she serves is a key motivator for Clarissa. Being involved within the community, classroom, and church has given her a unique perspective, which she brings to students at UST. Event and project planning, corporate communications, and servant leadership are important parts of her role in the Career Center. Working with the career services team, student workers, and the Celt community, has helped Clarissa grow in serving diverse populations to achieve long term success.
