These events take place throughout the year and foster school traditions, appealing to the entire student body.

SG facilitates the expression and empowerment of student opinions across campus. It advocates for the Student Body through continuous interaction with students, faculty, staff and administration, doing all it can to enhance the quality of the student experience.
It’s made up of 3 branches:
The Legislative branch represents and create legislation on behalf of their respective classes. It contains 4 senators from each class (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate students).
The Executive branch maintains Senate's day-to-day operations and executes legislation passed by the Senate. This branch is composed of the Vice President, Pro-Tempore, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian positions.
The Judicial branch oversees student elections on campus. It includes a chief justice, 3 associate undergraduate justices and 3 associate justices).

The Accounting Society is an educational, non-profit student organization established by faculty and students that serves as an advisory information source committed to bridging the gap between the academic and professional world.
Enhances the academic, social and professional pursuits of students interested in business careers.
Provides a social space for production majors in the Communications department.
Dedicated to educating UST students by promoting the practical application of computer science from programming, robotics and cyber security.
Promotes the ideas of Criminology and how it affects everyday individuals, incorporating the moral and ethical dimensions within the Catholic Church, including beliefs and values from non-Catholics, and how they intertwine with American society.

It’s open to all styles of debate, and creates understanding among its members through such debate.
Laurels is the University of St. Thomas' fiction literary magazine. The magazine is produced every semester and highlights work submitted by the students of the university. Poems, short stories, photography, and, artwork can be submitted to Laurels.Mag@gmail.com.
The voice and representation of the graduate student body, GSA represents and supports the interests of current and future UST graduate students by providing networking events and social opportunities for its members.
Promotes a sense of community through historical discovery, providing opportunities to:
ISS seeks to promote and celebrate different cultures and career opportunities available in diplomatic and governmental service. It provides members with a solid foundation for understanding world affairs or to develop a career in the international field.
ISS also hosts the University’s annual International Festival.
Black Student Union is a cultural club focused on creating a safe space for UST’s black students, faculty, and staff. BSU is dedicated on educating our peers on the struggles as well as accomplishments made throughout black history.
ACC is dedicated to:
The goal of ALPFA is to empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation, in every sector of the global economy. Members are encouraged to be creative, innovative and lead with a purpose and meaning.
Shares information and resources among students and faculty interested in bilingual/bicultural education, linking the bilingual community to UST’s School of Education and Human Services.
Brazilian Student Association works to promote and spread awareness of Brazilian culture to the UST community by offering free Portuguese classes and hosting several other events throughout the year such as eating together at a local Brazilian steakhouse.
FSA celebrates diversity by sharing the Filipino culture and helping members to be social with all cultures. It promotes this through:
For first-generation UST students
Promotes the understanding, study and appreciation of the French language and culture, and its impact in the global community. It’s a relaxed environment where members can practice speaking French and/or develop French language skills.
Assists international students with transition to life at UST and in Houston. Open to all students.
Promotes the culture and heritage of Ireland through various activities and events including a St. Patrick’s Day celebration sponsored by the William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies.
The Japanese Culture Club allows its members to develop intellectually, socially, and culturally by broadening their understanding about the Japanese culture and customs, while fostering cross-cultural respect and understanding.
LULAC advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of Hispanic-Americans through community-based programs.
Offers the opportunity to gather with other UST students and faculty interested in speaking Spanish, as well as international students.
The club also provides educational opportunities outside the classroom for those interested in the Spanish language and culture.
Club trying to spread Vietnamese culture and tradition to others. Our mission is to expose people to the Vietnamese community while engaging in social activities, volunteer work and making new memories.

Works within Campus Ministry, with a focus on:
Through various meetings and activities, members gain a broader understanding of UST’s Catholic tradition, pledging to renew the spirit of Christ on campus through prayer, fellowship and charity.
Student-led ministry that takes its name from the teachings of St. Pope John Paul II on issues of life, love, and sexuality. It aims to create a campus culture at UST that promotes the dignity of the human person and the true freedom of sexual integrity.
A Household which seeks to build Men of God by formation in accordance with the Four Pillars.
Membership is open to graduating seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and whose semester average has been 3.3 for at least five semesters of full-time study at UST.

Celt for Life’s mission is to spread an awareness of the sanctity and beauty of human life from conception until natural death on our campus, in the city of Houston, and across the nation. Celts for Life educates, serves, and empowers others concerning pro-life topics. Activities are organized to help people understand the “why” behind pro-life beliefs and learn how to hold respectful conversations on important pro-life subjects. Celts for Life has educational meetings, volunteers in the greater Houston area, initiates dialogue with the UST community, attends the National March for Life, and supports pregnant and parenting students on campus. Celt for Life works to create an environment of love, hope, and healing.
